Antifungals
Gresioufulvin : (ultramicoronised), 2.5-10 mg/kg bid (po) Or (micronised) 25-60 mg/kg, bid , (po) up to 6 weeks, give with fatty meal, not recommended for kittens less than 2 months

ketoconazole: 10-15 mg/kg bid , (po) up to 6-8 weeks, maintinance dose : 2.5 mg/kg bid, up to 20 mg/kg bid in systemic mycosis, give with food Itraconazole: 5-10 mg/kg, sid:bid (po) for 2 weeks, give with food
Fluconazole: 2.5-10 mg/kg, sid OR 20 mg/cat, (po), very effecient on systemic mycosis
Terbinafine: 10-30 mg/kg, sid (po)for 2-4 weeks Potassium iodide: 20 mg/kg, sid:bid, (po), effective on sporotrichosis


Misc
Fruosemide: 2:4 mg/kg, sid:tid (po) Or 0.5 -2 mg/kg bid (iv-im) Or up to 8 mg/kg in emergency Metoclopramide: 0.2 -0.5 mg/kg tid:qid (po-sc)
Ranitidine (zantac): 1-2 mg/kg, bid:tid, (po-im-iv), up to 3.5 mg/kg

hypocalcemia Lactulose syrub 667mg/ml: 3 ml/5 kg, sid (po) for conistipation, Or tid in case of slamonellosis, collibacillosis, Or 2.5-5 ml/5 kg tid, in hepatic encephalopathy, give at morning, smeared on mouth or forelegs, reduce dose if diarrhoea developed
Xylazine: 0.5:1 mg/kg (im) as pre-anaethetic, 1-3 mg/kg for sedation, the sedation can be reversed by "Antisedan"atipamezol
Diazipam: 0.5-2.2 mg/kg, as required for noise phobia, 1 mg/kg sid (iv) general dose , maximum dose (5 mg), 1-2 mg (total dose) bid (po) in case of urine marking, 1 mg total dose as appetite stimulant
Acepromazine: 0.1-0.2 mg/kg as required (im-iv) Or 0.5-2.5 mg/kg (po)
Ketamine: up to 20 - 30 mg/kg (im) (max 33 mg in kittens)
Thiopental: 11-22 mg (slow iv)
Doxapram (analeptic): 15:20 mg/kg,tid (iv) as initial dose, maintinance dose (2:5 mg/kg) up to 10 , (iv), as respiratory stimulant, can be repeated after 15-20 min, gice 1/3 of the dose scto avoid relapse.
Methionine DL: 200 - 1000 mg/animal ,(po), tid as urinary acidifier in case of urlithiasis


Anthelmintics & Antiprotozoals
Ivermectin: 400 ug/kg (sc,po) (1 ml finished product/25 kg)
Fenbendazole (Panacur): 35 mg/kg, very effective on tape and round worms and Giardia sid for 5-7 days (po)
Mebendazole: 25 mg/kg, sid for 5 days (po)
Piperazine citrate: 2 mg/kg, sid (po) Praziquantel (Droncit): 4-7 mg/kg (po.sc) (for all tape worms) reduce dose with larger weights., use only in dogs and cats more than 1 month
Selamectin (Revolution): 6 mg/kg topically, for round worms, external parasites, ear mites, only use in cat over 2 months old
Albendazole: 25-50 mg/kg, ( po ), for 5:14 days it can affect Giardia at 25mg/kg, bid for 5 days, (teratogenic-myelosuppression- abortion)
Sulfadimethoxine: (for Coccidiosis) 50 mg/kg at day 1, then 25 from days 2-10 (po), for Coccidiosis
Metronidazole (Flagyl): 25 mg/kg,bid (po) for 5-8 days (dont use in pregnant or lactating animals) , effective on Ent. histolytica,Trichomonas and ( Giardia : at 30 mg/kg,bid for 8-10 days)
Amprolium: (for Coccidiosis), 300 - 400 mg/kg, (po) daily for 5 days ,OR 110 - 220 mg/kg for 7-12 days
Clindamycin: ( for Toxoplasmosis)10-12 mg/kg, bid, (po) for 4 weeks Or 12.5 - 25 mg ,bid, (im) for 2 weeks , affect tachyzoites and stop oocysts shedding
Sulfadiazine & pyrimethamine: (for Toxoplasmosis), 30 mg/kg (sulfa) and 0.25-0.5 mg/kg pyr ,bid (po) for 2-4 weeks,( affect tachyzoites) can casue bone marrow suppression, add folinic acid 5 mg/day or yeast to diet
Sulfadiazine/trimethoprim (Tribrissen): (for Toxoplasmosis & Coccidiosis), 15 mg/kg, bid,(po) for 2-4 weeks (affect tachyzoites), for coccidiosis 25-50 mg/kg,sid,for 6 days
Imidocarb dipropionate (Imizol): (for babesia,cytauzoon & hepatozoon) 5 mg/kg, (im-sc) repeat in two weeks, ifor hepatozoon repeat in 2&4 weeks


Anti-inflammatory & Analgesics & antihistaminics
Dexamethasone (1): 5 mg/kg, in case of shock (iv-im)
Dexamethsone (2): 2-3 mg/kg, sid:bid (im-iv) in case of nervous system trauma then reduced to 1 mg every 8 hours (po)
Dexamethasone (3): 0.3 - 0.6 mg/kg, sid (po-im-sc) for immunosuppression
Dexamethasone (4): 2-4 mg/kg, sid (im) as antiinflammatory
Diphenhydramine: 0.5 -2.5 mg/kg, bid:tid, (im-sc-iv) or 4 mg bid (po)
Prednisolone/Prednisone: 5-10 mg/kg, for Shock (im-iv) for shock, have fast action , last for 12 h OR 2-4 mg/kg bid:tid (im-iv-po) for allergy & inflammation, then halfed at week intervals, lowest dose is 1mg/kg
Chlorpheniramine: 2-8 mg/kg, bid:qid, (po)
Ketoprofen: 5 mg/kg ,sid (po), Or 2 mg/kg, sid (iv-sc-im)
Triamicinolone: 0.1 - 0.2 mg/kg, sid, (po-sc-im) Or locally at the conjunctival sac at (0.2 ml) dosage.
Phenylbutazone: 15 mg/kg qid, (iv), Or 10-15 mg/kg,bid (po)
Meclofenamic acid: 2.2 mg/kg, sid (po)
Ibuprofen: 5 mg/kg, sid (po) Flunixin: 1 mg/kg, sid (im)
Carprofen: 4 mg/kg, sid (iv-sc), also can be given as tablets
Aspirin (buffered tab): 10 mg/kg, every 2 days (po) Note: lowest dose is 5 mg, toxic dose is 60 mg/kg
Acetaminophen (paracetamol): Toxic, doxic dose is 45mg/kg Or as small as 125:325 mg total dose


Gynacology
Medroxy Progesteron: 50 mg total dose , ( im ), 4:6 months, dont give in immature, pregnant,animals or in case of estrous ,mammary tumors, genital infections.
Oxytocin: 5-10 IU per animal, (iv-im-sc)
Estradiol cypionate: 0.04 mg/kg as req (im)


Toxic & dangerous drugs
Acetaminophen : paracetamol
Aspirin:
Kanamycin:
Progesterone LA: may casue mammary neoplasm or pyometra

بالفعل أعتذر عن انقطاعي طوال هذه المدة عن المنتدى ...

نقطة أخرى ألا وهي أن لاأدوية المذكورة أمامك هي إما أسماء المواد الفعالة ضمن الدواء التجاري مهما كا مصدره أو اسماء تجارية عالمية مذكورة أيضا في بعض الحالات بجانب اسم المادة الفعالة.
